Privacy policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
A site that tells people how to protect their data should collect as little as possible. Here is everything we do and do not do.
No cookies, analytics or ads
This website sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts, and it embeds nothing from other companies. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
The self-audit
When you tick a box in the digital footprint self-audit, your answers are saved in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. The "Clear answers" button deletes them, and so does clearing your browser's site data. If your browser blocks storage, the audit still works; it just forgets your answers when you close the tab.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We do not use that data to build profiles of visitors.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone. We delete correspondence we no longer need.
Links to other sites
Some guides link to official help pages, laws or government services. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Questions go to contact@onlineidentityproject.com.
